It’s been a long time coming, this blog. I’ve sat on the idea of it but was unable to create a vision or find the time. Then I decided to just go for it because I realized having a blog and growing a blog is much like having children, except it’s usually money and time being considered. You just have to do it otherwise you could come up with a million reason of “why not”. I could plan and scrutinize every detail for the rest of my life and never be 100% satisfied with the direction. It’s who I am. I’m always searching for the best option. And as I’m writing this I’m realizing that’s one of the many reasons this blog needs to exist.

No Frills Mommy is about connecting with other people. Through detailing our lives I hope that you will feel connected in some way. I desire this for those visiting here because during the times of life’s transitions I felt isolated and was unable to relate to many people in my life. I remember stumbling upon a few blogs who seemed to align with me as a mom, wife, or person. It was those blogs read in the dark of night while I nursed my baby back to sleep that I did not feel so alone. So I present to you, No Frills Mommy for those who are searching for connection, a different view point, a discussion, a no frills opinion, or just for the nosy. This is for you world.

Topics that will be covered are marriage, parenting, children, humor, recipes/cooking, with a little sprinkle of politics if I feel up to it.
